Our research is focused on using two-photon fluorescence microscopy and micro-manipulation techniques to investigate biophysical phenomena.
1.Two-photon fluorescence microscopy Based on non-linear excitation of fluorescent molecules, two-photon fluorescence microscopy has the unique capability of producing high quality, in-depth http://www.phys.ntu.edu.tw/english/imagess of biological specimen with minimal photodamage. We use this technique to http://www.phys.ntu.edu.tw/english/images tissue structure and investigate cellular biophysics, non-invasively.
2.Micro-manipulation In addition to imaging, the ability to mechanically manipulate biosystems at the microscopic level is also important for understanding their physical characteristics. Using an electromagnetic system, we can achieve mechanical manipulation from single biological molecules to cells and the response of these systems under mechanical force can be studied.
I am also very interested in promoting biophysics among the National Taiwan University and local students. |
