I.

Application Requirement

 

1. Graduate students should enroll in Master’s Program for at least two semesters; PhD students for at least four semesters. Undergraduate students enrolling in PhD Program should at least finish one-year-studies in Master’s Program and four-semesters-studies in PhD Program.

2. Students should obtain all the needed credit units from the required courses before the semester ends.

3. PhD students should pass the qualified examination.

II.

Application Time

 

1.From the completion of registration to November 31st in fall semester.

2.From the completion of registration to April 30th in spring semester.

3.Students with special reasons approved by their advisor, the chairman, or the director of the program do not apply to this rule.

C.

1-a. Required Documents for Graduate students

 

(1). Transcript (2). An abstract of the dissertation (3). A hard copy of the Application Form on Degree Examination with the signature of the advisor. The application form can be downloaded from the IFNO page of the school’s website. Students should submit the documents above to the department’s office.

2-a. Required Documents for PhD students

 

(1). Transcript (2) An abstract of the dissertation (3). A hard copy of the Application Form on Degree Examination with the signature of the advisor. (4). A hard copy of at least one published SCI article. (5). A table of content of the dissertation (notify the IF points). Students should submit the documents above to the department’s office.

IV.

Students who cannot attend the degree examination should fill in the Revocation Application Form. The form should be signed by the advisor and the director of institution, and submitted to the department’s office before the end of the semester. Students do not apply for revocation and do not attend the examination will be regarded as failing the examination.

V.

After the examination, each institute can only submit the students’ grade to the Office of Academic Affairs after acquiring dissertation attached with the signed consent of the Examination Committee members. The deadlines for finalized dissertation (including both electronic and hard copy version) submission are February 15th, Fall Semester and August 20th, Spring Semester (subject to change according different regulations of every institute.) Students who fail to submit the dissertation before deadline should register for the coming semester and submit the dissertation before the deadline in order to graduate. Students who fail to submit the finalized dissertation within the terms of study will be regarded as failing the degree examination and will be expelled according to regulations.
