Research
The main research interest is in the studies of electric and optical properties of semiconductor materials. The concentrated topics are: quantum effects induced by structural confinements, including quantum well, quantum wire, and quantum dot; hydrogen passivation; alloy disorder induced potential fluctuations; changes of effective masses in various conditions; nitride semiconductors; silicon based alloy. The main experimental systems are photochemical and plasma enhanced deposition systems, micro- photoluminescence, far-infrared magneto spectroscopy, photoconductivity, micro-Raman scattering, and near-field optics.
